Hi everyone, well the Christmas classic was this past weekend in Lexington VA and although my initial plans were not to race, we decided to go ahead and race at least day 1. The first time I saw and rode the track was the week before the race when they had the paid practice. The track looked and was smooth. Although the space for the track was very tight, the decision maker on the second straight made the layout even tighter. The track itself was fast and perhaps too fast for its size, considering the second turn was a tight hairpin turn that you would shoot into after the pro section. By then I had decided not to race because I wasn't training due to finals and didn't feel like I was at a competitive level. Even though I wasn't as explosive or as conditioned as I would've liked, I was still riding relatively well. Still, it wasn't until the Saturday that I decided to race Sunday and see where I stood against my competitors. I was actually riding pretty good, but pretty good wasn't enough against 37 other pros. I placed fourth my first moto because I couldn't get out of the gate stronger, then 5th/6th at the finish line second moto because I came unclipped out of the gate, and finally, I needed a 2nd in order to safely make it out of motos which is the place I was before I washed out in the second turn. So the race was not the ideal performance but it happens. Seeing how well I did and the fact that I was all bruised up and beat up I decided to just go home and call it a weekend. We went to see where I stood and got an idea of what I need to improve on. Now that I'm through my first semester in college I know I can dedicate as much time to my studies as well as trainning and manage both efficiently. Therefore I will take as much time as it takes to properly train and be prepared to compete without any regrets. It may take a few months but when I'm ready I'll come back and race at a higher level.

Hey guys, just recently got back from the Thanksgiving National in Morristown, TN. Didn't really do so well, got stuck with 5th in my semi on day 1, and finished 6th in the main on day 2. I'm trying to find some pictures of the race and I'll post them as I see them. Check back soon for the updates.
